Our eight-strong committee and dedicated team of helpers are focused on growing awareness of Wooden Spoon and raising as much money as possible for projects within our local community.

We are a relatively new team, but what we may lack in experience we make up for in enthusiasm.

Since 2014, we have funded 3 projects in the local area donating over £30,000. We opened our most recent project at Ridgeway School in Kempston. We donated £15,000 to fund the design and build of the new sensory garden that will be used by children with the most complex care needs.

Helen Roy, Deputy Headteacher of Ridgeway School said: “The children will love the new sensory garden. They are vulnerable in the main playground, so it is nice for them to have somewhere to play safely and independently.”

We have a great few months ahead with two brilliant events. We will be moving forward in 2020 by supporting a sensory play area project at Woodlands School.

See the events tab below for upcoming fundraising activities within the region.
