Wooden Spoon is the children’s charity of rugby. We are a grant-making charity and fund life-changing projects across the UK & Ireland.
The best way to support us at Wooden Spoon is to become a member and join the 7,500 other people who regularly give and support us in our commitment to help all the projects that apply to us for funding.
We are incredibly proud of our members who, in the last year alone have raised £1.5 million and helped over 113,000 children, creating a phenomenal impact across the UK and Ireland.
However, there are 4.2 million children are still living in poverty, 11% are living with a disability and 1 in 6 are suffering from mental health illnesses. On top of this, the cost of living crisis has made fundraising harder than ever meaning we have only been able to fund 1 in 4 grant applications in the last year.
Becoming a member couldn’t be easier, all you need to do is fill in the membership form. In addition to knowing your money is going to help vulnerable children, you will also receive:
- Monthly e-Spoonews with details of campaigns and projects
- Invitations to regional events
- A welcome gift
- Monthly membership draws to win tickets and other prizes
- Bi- annual Spoonews magazine
- Being part of the Rugby community
There is no set amount for how much it costs to be a member but our usual recommendation is £5 a month.
