Wooden Spoon Bedfordshire Hosts Successful Annual Lunch at Bedford Athletic RUFC

Wooden Spoon Bedfordshire held its highly anticipated annual lunch at Bedford Athletic RUFC on February 3rd, and the event proved to be a resounding success. With 110 guests in attendance, the atmosphere was buzzing as rugby enthusiasts gathered to enjoy a thrilling match between Bedford Athletic and Colchester RUFC, with the away team clinching a tight victory of 30:34 in a fiercely contested game. This marked the ninth consecutive year that Wooden Spoon Bedfordshire has organised such a gathering at the club.
The match was followed by a delicious three course meal and insightful talks from both the home Club President and Colchester’s President
Reflecting on the occasion, Wooden Spoon Bedfordshire chair, Oliver Richbell expressed his gratitude, saying, “It is a glorious day where friends and families come to support their local amateur rugby club as well as Wooden Spoon Bedfordshire. The partnership between us both is one of teamwork, passion, and pride, and there can be no better endorsement of rugby and Wooden Spoon than that.”
