Samantha Mead

Regional Support Executive

Samantha Mead

Regional Support Executive
Sam has been with Wooden Spoon since November 2013 and say it’s the perfect job! She works as the Regional Support Executive, looking after and supporting our incredible regions with their fundraising - around 250 volunteers. Sam helps to ensure that every penny raised at their events is spent on local projects!

Sam also have a son with Autism; his name is Connor, and says that really does help her to understand the benefit of the work Wooden Spoon do to support disadvantaged children.

A fun fact about Sam: "I used to be in Kingston and Malden Scout and Guide marching band and played the Bell Lyre."

Sarah Woodcock

Volunteer

Sarah Woodcock

Volunteer
Sarah has volunteered on a Wednesday morning at national office for about 7 years. She carries out a variety of admin tasks but her favourite is working on projects as that is what Wooden Spoon is all about and we do make a difference.

Sarah retired from full-time work in 2013 but is busy with different voluntary roles, some on a weekly basis, others one-off like being a Games Maker at the London 2012 Olympics.

Sarah also goes travelling for 1 or 2 month trips - with a backpack, using local transport and staying in hostels not 5 star hotels!
