Golfing for Good: West Kent’s Annual Golf Day Triumphs Again

Redlibbets Golf Club, Friday 07 June 2024

The annual West Kent Golf Day at Redlibbets Golf Club proved to be an exhilarating event this year, showcasing skill, sportsmanship, and community spirit. With 31 four-ball teams participating in a shotgun start, the competition was intense, with the best two Stableford points from each hole counting towards the final score.

The Dartford Valley RFC ‘Good Looking Bar Stewards’ emerged victorious, amassing an impressive 98 points. Close on their heels was Team Londis, securing second place with 96 points. The battle for third was a close one, with Savills edging out another team on a countback, both teams finishing with 92 points.

The golfers were blessed with perfect weather, enhancing the vibrant atmosphere of the day. The course was in pristine condition, thanks to the dedicated efforts of the Redlibbets staff. Players enjoyed a sumptuous steak and ale pie for lunch, followed by a delightful dessert, rounding off a day of exceptional golfing and camaraderie.

Special thanks go to Adger Brown, who once again brought his professional flair as MC and Auctioneer. His efforts, combined with the generosity of all the golfers present, helped raise a remarkable £5,600 for our county projects.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated and supported the event. Your contributions and enthusiasm made it a memorable day. We eagerly look forward to welcoming you back for next year’s event on 13 June. Thank you for being a part of this fantastic day and helping us make a difference in our community.
