Thank You to Our Amazing Volunteers!

As another season comes to a close, we’d like to say a huge thank you to all of our fantastic Wooden Spoon Devon volunteers for your time, commitment and support throughout the season.

Our final event of the season at Sandy Park for the Exeter Chiefs v Saracens match, which finished 32–12 to the Chiefs, was a fitting example of everything that makes this team so special. Whatever the weather, you have consistently provided a professional, friendly and helpful service, which is regularly praised by visitors and reflects the very best of the Wooden Spoon spirit.

It’s not just about helping people find a parking space or collecting donations, it’s the warm welcome, the willingness to go the extra mile and those small acts of kindness that make such a difference! Our Bucket Collection volunteers embody this perfectly with their simple but effective approach: “They will not come to you, you have to go to them – Engage with a smile 😊”, helped boost donations and spread warmth throughout the day. 

We are incredibly grateful to every volunteer who has contributed this season. Your dedication has helped make each event a success and has supported the important work of Wooden Spoon across Devon.
