Strawberry Fair Success for Wooden Spoon Northumberland on the Island of Lindisfarne
The sun shone brightly over the beautiful Island of Lindisfarne, setting the perfect scene for Wooden Spoon Northumberland’s annual Strawberry Fair. The event brought together locals and visitors alike, raising an impressive £1,200 for charity.
A huge shout-out goes to J R Holland for their generous support in supplying the fresh, juicy strawberries that were the star of the show. The Alnwick Farm Bakery played a crucial role too, delighting attendees with their scrumptious strawberry tarts and scones, while Redsteads Farm supplied a fantastic array of vegetables, adding to the delightful spread enjoyed by all.
The day was a great success, filled with laughter, good food, and community spirit. Thanks to the hard work of the Northumberland Committee, the event was another memorable one to add to the books. Iain Stewart, Chairman of Wooden Spoon Northumberland, expressed his gratitude, saying, “It was wonderful to see so many people happy to support a great cause.”
The Strawberry Fair proved once again to be a cherished local tradition, celebrating community, delicious food, and, most importantly, supporting those in need. Wooden Spoon Northumberland extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed and looks forward to another fantastic event next year.
Here’s to more sunshine, strawberries, and community spirit in the years to come!
