Youngs Golf Day Raises over £2,000 for Wooden Spoon Charity

In a wonderful display of community spirit and generosity, the recent Youngs Golf Day event proved to be a resounding success, raising an impressive £2,110.67 for the Wooden Spoon charity. The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the “Nearest Pin Challenge” on hole 17, where Wooden Spoon’s very own Matt Bishop stood as the overseer. Participants eagerly took their swings, hoping to land their ball closest to the pin and earn the coveted bragging rights.

The funds raised from this event will go a long way in supporting Wooden Spoon’s mission. Known as the children’s charity of rugby, Wooden Spoon transforms the lives of children and young people with disabilities or facing disadvantage through the power of rugby.
