Scotland host lunch ahead of Six Nations Calcutta Cup contest
WOODEN Spoon Scotland held a pre-international lunch last weekend for the Six Nations battle between Scotland and England.
Elaine McCann and Laura Hughes, two members of the Committee, organised the charity lunch. Former Scotland player, Andy Nicol acted as MC and Wooden Spoon Surrey Honorary President, John Inverdale was speaker.
We are grateful to The George Hotel in Edinburgh for hosting this event at such short notice, as a fire broke out two days before at the Myreside Pavilion.
This event raised over £17,000 which will go towards helping to support children with disabilities or facing disadvantage across Scotland. We would like to thank everyone who attended, and for the generous donations in the raffle and charity auction.
The final score in the Six Nations match was a victory for England against Scotland 13-6.
