Women & Girls Participation at Maddy’s Mark

Hertfordshire

Women & Girls Participation at Maddy’s Mark, a Health & Wellbeing project of increasing participation, has launched in Hertfordshire with a grant of £35,000. This project, aimed at supporting the mental well-being of girls and women through rugby, is set to have a significant impact on the local community.

Maddy’s Mark is a charity dedicated to supporting the mental well-being of girls and women by building resilience, confidence, and camaraderie. Through funding school programmes and partnerships with clubs, the organisation works to make rugby accessible to all who wish to play, fostering both physical and emotional well-being.

This new participation project, provides structured opportunities for girls and young women to engage in rugby, helping them develop teamwork, confidence, and mental resilience in a supportive and empowering environment.

This Health & Wellbeing initiative was generously funded by a Wooden Spoon Charity grant. Wooden Spoon supports Maddy’s Mark’s commitment to creating inclusive and engaging sporting opportunities that promote well-being and personal growth.
