This project, aimed at creating an engaging and supportive space where children can fully immerse themselves in learning through innovative and well-structured experiences, is set to have a significant impact on the local community.

Sensory Room: Enhancing Learning Through Innovation

This new sensory space has been created by converting an old store room and now provides a calming and immersive environment designed to help the children connect, explore, and engage in their education through multi-sensory experiences. At the opening the children were all given a wooden spoon to decorate which were hung in a glorious display along the corridor at the school.

Lapford Community Primary School’s commitment to offering exciting and well-taught lessons is strengthened by this new space, ensuring that all children have access to innovative learning opportunities that support their individual needs.

This sensory room was generously funded by a Wooden Spoon Charity grant. Wooden Spoon supports the school’s dedication to creating inclusive and engaging spaces that foster educational growth and well-being.
