Sensory Garden Redevelopment at St George’s Childcare
The Garden Redevelopment Project at St George’s Childcare, a Sensory Rooms & Gardens project of a Sensory Garden, has opened in Kent with a grant of £10,000. This project, aimed at enhancing outdoor learning and play opportunities for young children, is set to have a significant impact on the local community.
St George’s Childcare has been providing quality childcare for over 30 years, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow.
This new Sensory Garden, which opened on 31st January 2025, provides a calming and engaging outdoor space designed to help children explore nature, develop their sensory skills, and experience the benefits of outdoor play in a secure and supportive setting.
This Sensory Garden was generously funded by a Wooden Spoon Charity grant. Wooden Spoon supports St George’s Childcare’s dedication to creating inclusive, engaging spaces that foster wellbeing and development.
