Launched in 2014, the Gloucester Rugby Wheelchair Rugby development programme is a partnership with The University of Gloucestershire and sponsored by EDF Energy and Lanes Health.
The partnership has seen the creation of a new adult Gloucester Rugby Wheelchair team providing opportunities for disabled people to get active and involved in the sport. Weekly club coaching sessions are held at the University of Oxstalls Campus in Gloucester.
Running alongside the Club, the partner organisations also work together to deliver a community programme open to schools across Gloucestershire offering regular training opportunities for young players.
Charlie, who is the face of our campaign, plays for Gloucester Wheelchair Rugby Club.
