Wooden Spoon Announced as Official Charity Partner of the Financial Industry Charity Regatta 2026
Wooden Spoon is honoured to be selected as the official charity partner for the inaugural Financial Industry Charity Regatta, In Aid of Wooden Spoon, hosted by Prometheus Sailing, which is taking place on Tuesday 30 June 2026. This brand-new event brings together teams from across the insurance, finance, banking, accounting, legal and consulting sectors for a spectacular day of racing, hospitality and fundraising—all in support of children and young people across the UK and Ireland.
Hosted at the stunning Ocean Village Marina in Southampton, the regatta will see corporate crews take to the water aboard a modern fleet of Prometheus 41 yachts for a day designed to blend friendly competition with meaningful impact. Up to three races will run throughout the day, with teams enjoying breakfast on arrival, expert guidance from professional skippers and mates, on-the-go lunch, and a celebratory après-sail prizegiving back on shore.
At the heart of the event is a shared commitment to making a difference. Every participating team will have the opportunity to contribute through an optional donation, helping raise invaluable funds that will support Wooden Spoon’s projects improving the lives of children and young people with disabilities or facing disadvantage.
