Official opening of ‘Olivia’s Stage’ in memory of Olivia Pratt-Korbel
Olivia Pratt-Korbel was tragically shot and killed in her home on 22nd August 2022. She was a pupil at St, Margaret Mary’s RC Primary School in Liverpool. This was devastating for Olivia’s family, her fellow students and the local community.
Olivia loved to act and perform, so the school decided to build an outdoor stage and recreation area, where Olivia’s school friends can perform, rest and reflect.
Wooden Spoon Merseyside collaborated with St. Margaret Mary’s staff, the Liverpool Arch-diocese and Knowsley Council to fund and build a beautiful stage and recreation garden on the school grounds. ‘Olivia’s Stage was officially opened by Olivia’s mother Cheryl Korbel. Olivia’s classmates performed songs from Matilda which was Olivia’s favourite musical.
Pentagon Play worked with the students to design and install the performance stage, a seating area and a musical play area.
Wooden spoon Merseyside are proud to have helped bring this project to fruition for Olivia’s school.
