Wooden Spoon Wales Golf Day 2023

Wooden Spoon Wales hosted their annual golf day on 20^th July. With near perfect golfing conditions, and following breakfast rolls and a quick group picture  – including a rendition of Tom Jones!, 

16 teams assembled to tee off for a shotgun start at the picturesque setting of Whitchuch Golf club in Cardiff. Players negotiated the course which is noted for it’s testing par 3 and par 4 holes, engaging in various course activities such as the popular nearest the pin and straightest drive as well as some unexpected challenges that included a paddling pool and a bendy putter… resulting in lots of smiles and laughter with some lucky players even walking away with prizes! 

A great day of golf was had by all, followed by a 2-course meal and prize giving ceremony, which was kindly hosted and presented by Paul Thorburn who himself was playing in a team. 

1^st prize and the Wooden Spoon Wales golfing trophy went to team Watkins and Gunn Solicitors, of which Paul Thorburn was part of.

2^nd prize winners -team Solvit Wales.

3^rd Prize winners – Blake Morgan.
