We Are the Champions – Queen Tribute

On Saturday 3 June 2023, Wooden Spoon Northumberland hosted their second festival of music, the party on the pitch, at Alnwick RFC, raising much needed funds for local projects.

The afternoon in the sun was attended by around 1,500 people of all ages who enjoyed music from bands culminating in a brilliant performance by the Northumbrian Queen Tribute Act : We are Champion.

The sun shone as concert goers enjoyed picnics and drinks on the pitch before dancing their way through various genres including 60’s tribute act Moonogs, superb solo artist Johnny Pollard and rockers Dusty Train.

The event was another huge success for Wooden Spoon Northumberland raising funds for the local region and plans are afoot for a bigger and better event next year.
