Bristol and Bath welcome Somerset into the Wooden Spoon family
Wooden Spoon Bristol and Bath are proud to announce that they have incorporated the Somerset Region, becoming Wooden Spoon Bristol, Bath and Somerset.
Chairman, Bob Densley, said “We feel very privileged to be taking on the championship of the Somerset Region. The previous teams have done some fantastic work helping kids and raising funds on their behalf. The Bristol Bath & Somerset committee and I look forward to continuing their great work, and we will be working closely with charities, clubs and organisations in Somerset as part of our new family.”
Collectively, Wooden Spoon Bristol, Bath & Somerset has raised in excess of £870,000 to fund life-changing projects for children with disabilities or facing disadvantage, and their families.
This partnership follows the recent announcement that Danny Grewcock MBE, formerly of England and Bath, is joining Wooden Spoon Bristol, Bath & Somerset as an Ambassador. Danny joins Phil de Glanville, Rhys Priestland, Piers O’Conor, Harry Thacker, Sarah Burns and Simon Halliday as Bristol, Bath & Somerset Regional Ambassadors. Read more here.
