Norfolk gets quizzical

NORFOLK’S rugby community put their brain power to the test as they tackled a quiz to raise more than £2,000 for Wooden Spoon Eastern Counties’ Club Together bike ride.

The event, which was hosted by Norwich RFC, attracted around 160 people who formed 18 teams to answer a series of questions. Guests were even treated to a special music round in which the clues were played by a band made up of some of the cyclists taking part in September’s two-wheeled fundraiser.

Participants also dug deep to buy tickets for a raffle and bid for lots in an auction as they raised the four-figure sum for the children’s charity of rugby. A follow-up quiz is being planned to take place at North Walsham RFC in August.

Taking place from 8-10th September 2017, the Club Together ride will see an anticipated 100-strong peloton complete a 320-mile tour of Norfolk’s 11 senior rugby clubs.
