Sidcup RFC Host Wooden Spoon Side at President’s Day Celebrations

NEW Partner Club Sidcup RFC recently hosted a Wooden Spoon XV as part of their President’s day celebrations.

The Wooden Spoon scratch side was made up of players from across SE London clubs including, Westcombe Park, Old Elthamians and Bromley.

During the day fundraising activities took place including a raffle with many rugby-based prizes with funds going to Wooden Spoon in Kent to continue their great work in changing the lives of young people with disabilities and facing disadvantage.

Sidcup joined the Partner Club Programme in March this year and have enjoyed a great season securing the London 1 South title and gaining promotion to National League 3. Sidcup lost only one game of their campaign away to Tottonians.
