Wooden Spoon Edinburgh Burns Supper

WOODEN Spoon was recently in Scotland celebrating its annual Burns Supper at the Principal George Hotel in Edinburgh.

With over 200 guests enjoying the traditional ‘supper’, it was an evening full of excitement. The supper was followed by a host of speakers who enthusiastically delivered the traditional toasts to the Scottish Bard; the Address to the Haggis, Immortal Memory, Toast to the Lassies and a cutting Reply on Behalf of the Lassies!

The evening was rounded off with a great selection of Burns songs by the award-winning singer, Robyn Stapleton and a lusty Auld Lang Syne from the well-watered guests!

Raising over £13,000 for the charity, Charlie Bryden (Scotland’s Wooden Spoon Chairman) commented “As the first of the Burns season, the Wooden Spoon Supper always sets a high bar for entertainment, passion and fun – Burns would be proud”

Thanks to all who came and supported, and made the evening one to truly celebrate after raising £13,000 for Children and Young people with a disability or facing disadvantage in Scotland.
