Wooden Spoon Edinburgh funds new outdoor play equipment at Prospect Bank School

Edinburgh

Prospect Bank School has been awarded a grant of £20,000 for new outdoor play equipment. This project, designed to support children with complex and long-term additional support needs, is set to have a significant impact on the school and wider community.

Prospect Bank School, located in Leith, Edinburgh, is a special school for children aged 3–11 with learning disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder. The school is dedicated to providing a nurturing environment where every child can thrive, learn, and grow.

This new outdoor play equipment will create a safe and stimulating space where pupils can develop physical skills, build confidence, and enjoy meaningful play opportunities.

The project, opening on the 10th of October 2025, was generously funded by a Wooden Spoon Charity grant. Wooden Spoon supports Prospect Bank’s commitment to creating inclusive environments that foster wellbeing and growth.
