This project, aimed at providing free therapeutic short breaks and extended support, is set to have a significant impact on the local community.

Whiteleys Retreat: Enhancing Accessibility and Wellbeing

This new inclusion-focused initiative, which opened on 14th October 2024, provides a safe and supportive environment designed to help individuals enjoy outdoor experiences, connect with nature, and improve overall wellbeing. By offering accessible beach wheelchairs, the project ensures that families facing health challenges can experience the joy of Scotland’s beautiful coastline without barriers.

This life-enhancing project was generously funded by a Wooden Spoon Charity grant. Wooden Spoon supports the Whiteleys Retreat’s dedication to creating accessible, inclusive spaces that promote healing, relaxation, and family connection.
