Vertical Living at The Ledge SCIO

Aberdeen

Vertical Living at The Ledge SCIO, a Specialist Equipment & Facilities project focused on climbing equipment, in Aberdeen, has been awarded a grant of £10,000. This project, aimed at supporting young people facing disadvantage through access to climbing and adventure-based activities, is set to have a meaningful impact on the local community.

Vertical Living reflects the ethos of The Ledge SCIO, whose vision is for every person in Scotland to enjoy a happy, healthy life free from poverty or disadvantage. Their mission is to inspire individuals, communities, and organisations to work together to drive social change and transform lives.

This new Specialist Equipment & Facilities project, due to open soon, will provide high-quality climbing equipment in a safe and inclusive environment designed to help children and young people build confidence, resilience, and physical wellbeing through the challenge and teamwork of indoor climbing.

The project was generously funded by a Wooden Spoon charity grant. Wooden Spoon proudly supports The Ledge SCIO and its commitment to creating empowering environments that promote wellbeing, personal growth, and social inclusion.
