The new Outdoor Classroom, a learning and development space in the field of specialist equipment & facilities, has opened in Suckley with a grant of £6,000 from Wooden Spoon Worcestershire. This project, aimed at creating enjoyable learning opportunities that promote character development, independence, autonomy, self-discipline, and self-regulation, is set to have a significant impact on the local community.
The Cabin: A Space for Learning and Growth
This new learning space, which opened on the 4th of April 2025 by former Scottish international rugby player Donna Kennedy, provides a calm and engaging environment designed to support individuals in developing essential life skills while fostering independence and self-confidence. Acton Mill’s philosophy is to create meaningful learning experiences that encourage personal development in a nurturing and supportive setting.
This learning space was generously funded by a Wooden Spoon Charity grant. Wooden Spoon supports Acton Mill’s dedication to creating inclusive and enriching spaces that empower individuals and promote well-being.
