Sensory Room Opens at Options in Life
EdinburghThe Social and Education Centre, a Sensory Space project featuring a specialist sensory room, has officially opened at Options in Life in Cupar Fife, thanks to a generous grant of £23,990 from Wooden Spoon Edinburgh. This project, designed to support isolated young people with learning disabilities, is set to have a significant impact on the local community.

Options in Life runs a social inclusion and skills development programme for young people with learning disabilities in Fife. The organisation is dedicated to providing opportunities for engagement, learning, and personal growth, helping individuals to develop essential life skills and build meaningful connections.
A New Activity and Sensory Room for Options in Life
This new sensory room, which opened in March 2025, provides a calm and engaging environment designed to help young people with learning disabilities develop sensory, motor, and communication skills. The space is equipped with specialist resources and activities to enhance wellbeing, encourage social interaction, and support personal development.
The sensory room was generously funded by a Wooden Spoon Charity grant. Wooden Spoon supports Options in Life’s commitment to creating inclusive and nurturing spaces that foster wellbeing and growth.
