Playground & Outdoor Learning Space Opens in Glasgow with £21,000 Funding Boost

This Playground & Outdoor Learning Space, an outdoor education project in the field of child development and inclusive learning, has opened in Glasgow with a funding boost of £21,000. This project, aimed at creating a safe, nurturing, and inspiring outdoor environment for children to learn and grow, is set to have a significant impact on the local community.

A Space for Growth and Exploration

This new outdoor learning and play area, which opened on 7th February 2025, provides a dynamic space where children can engage with nature, develop resilience, and build essential life skills in a supportive setting. Guided by the values of Fairness, Kindness, Respect, Resilience, and Diversity at Clydemuir Primary School, the project aims to encourage exploration, creativity, and collaboration among young learners.

Funded by Wooden Spoon

This playground and outdoor learning space was generously funded by a Wooden Spoon Charity grant. Wooden Spoon supports the school’s commitment to fostering a safe, motivating, and inclusive space for all children, ensuring they have opportunities to thrive both academically and socially.
