JOE MARLER OPENS NEW WOODWORK SKILLS WORKSHOP FOR SUSSEX CHILDREN
SussexWooden Spoon Sussex were delighted to have their Woodwork Skills Workshop at Ferring Country Centre officially opened by England and Harlquins prop, Joe Marler.
The region provided a grant of £20,124 towards the project at the local, independent charity providing training and work experience for people with learning disabilities.
Ferring Country Centre states “Our customers develop better work and social skills by assisting us with the operation of our Riding Therapy Unit, Garden Centre, Rangers Café and Dales Farm.
Our Centre was founded in 1986 by a small group of parents, who saw the need for their children to attend a meaningful setting. Over 30 years later, we are still as committed to people with a learning disability being an active part of their community, and developing their skills and confidence.”
