JENNER PARK PRIMARY OPENS SENSORY SHED

A new Sensory Space project at Jenner Park Primary School in Barry, Wales, has been awarded a grant of £7,000 from Wooden Spoon Wales. The project, focusing on the creation of a dedicated sensory room, is set to make a meaningful impact on the school community by giving children a chance to thrive.

Children & teachers joined representatives of Wooden Spoon Wales for the opening of their new ‘Rainbow Sensory Shed’ recently.

The project was officially opened by mayor Cllr Naomi Marshallsea & provides a safe & quiet space at the ‘Centre of Excellence for Complex Needs’ at Jenner Park Primary school Barry. The special unit supports children to promote their physical development & well being, cognitive & social skills and emotional wellbeing.

The equipment provided include lights & sensory units, play mats, sensory tunnels, LED tubes, roller units & giant keyboard.
