Freedom Day Centre Sensory Room and Garden: Enhancing Wellbeing and Connection

The Freedom Day Centre Sensory Room and Garden, a therapeutic and recreational facility in the field of support for adults with learning disabilities, has opened in Worcestershire with a funding boost of £1,500. This project, aimed at creating a calming and interactive environment for personal growth and relaxation, is set to have a significant impact on the local community.

Freedom Day Centre is a day centre based in South Littleton, Worcestershire, providing a variety of educational, therapeutic, and social opportunities for individuals aged 16 and above with learning disabilities.

This new sensory room and garden, which opened in June 2024, offers a calming and out-of-this-world environment designed to help individuals of all ages connect, relax, and explore in a supportive space.

The project was generously funded by a Wooden Spoon Charity grant. Wooden Spoon supports the Freedom Day Centre’s dedication to creating safe and inclusive spaces that foster wellbeing and growth.
