Gower Peninsula Ultra Challenge®
Take on a truly stunning Challenge set in the Gower Peninsula, famous for its sweeping golden beaches, limestone cliffs, wild moors, ridges, and woodlands. Walk, jog, or run at your pace on routes from 100km to 10km and fundraise for charity to make a real difference.
From basecamp by the ruins of Penrice Castle, you’ll head out towards Oxwich Bay and onto the coast path towards Rhossili. Take in spectacular views of Worm’s Head and walk along Rhossili Bay, before heading onto the Gower Way and back to basecamp at 50km. For full 100km Challengers, it’s down to Mumbles and inland through charming villages to complete the figure of 8 route.
Join as an individual or as a team and get ready to experience full support every step of the way. Regular Rest Stops packed with food & drink, hot meals, fully marked routes, massage & medical care, marshals on course and walking the route with you, and of course an unbeatable community. There’s a range of camping options & transfers available for all Challengers so you can plan your whole weekend smoothly.

This event is organised by Ultra Challenge Ltd.
Wooden Spoon works with some event suppliers to provide a platform for our members and supporters to fundraise for the charity. There is a cost to the charity to administer these events and therefore we have set minimum fundraising levels which we view as achievable based on previous participants. It is at Wooden Spoon’s discretion whether to allow the participants to take part or not for the charity, if fundraising levels are not met. Thanks for your understanding.
