Sunday June 8th 2025 – The Black Sheep Big Spoon Bike Ride in aid of Wooden Spoon charity.
If you have joined us before, you will know that our emphasis is on having fun and a grand day out in the fresh air. Our charity bike ride is renowned for its fab feedstations (Bettys fat rascals, Wensleydale cheese, homemade fruitcake soaked in brandy……) and, of course, a delicious (free!) pint of Black Sheep ale and a hot meal at the end of the ride.
Come and join us and you will be made very welcome whether you are on your own or riding with a group of friends – and whether you are a regular rider, or a bit rusty!
We have designed our three routes so there is something for everyone. Our 87 mile route will keep regular cyclists happy! The route starts from Masham and heads out through Swaledale and back via Wensleydale. There are glorious views along the way…..as well as plenty of hills. This will be a challenging day out.
Our 24 and 55 mile routes are still a challenge, but are designed with plenty of places for tea stops! These routes also starts from Masham, and you will get the same glorious views…. but fewer hills! If you haven’t been on your bike for a while, and you need a worthwhile target to train towards, these are the routes for you.
We can’t guarantee the weather, but we can guarantee you fresh air, a friendly welcome and a fine route. All in aid of charity.
Come and join us – we’ll look forward to seeing you.
