Sun, Smiles, and Over £120,000 Raised at Vets Fest 2026
The sun shone down, the rugby community arrived in high spirits, and the atmosphere was electric at this year’s Vets Fest 2026, hosted by the fantastic Tynedale RFC.
With glorious weather—clear blue skies and not a drop of rain in sight—over 700 players, supporters, and volunteers came together for an unforgettable day of over-35s rugby, fun, and incredible generosity.
Most importantly, the collective effort of everyone involved paid off in a massive way: Vets Fest 2026 raised over £120,000! Every single penny raised will directly fund life-changing local projects across the UK and Ireland, giving children and young people with disabilities or facing disadvantage the chance to play, learn, thrive, and be safe.
From the very first whistle, the energy on and off the pitch was unmatched. Engaging groups from across the regions pulled up their socks, laced up their boots, and brought both fierce competitiveness and wonderful camaraderie to the tournament.
Beyond the rugby action, off-pitch highlights had the crowd cheering just as loudly. The highly anticipated Panto Horse Race was a hit with participants and spectators alike, bringing plenty of laughs, brilliant rivalries, and fantastic entertainment to the afternoon.
Events like Vets Fest simply cannot happen without the unwavering dedication of our sponsors and partners.
A special thank you goes to our Headline Sponsors, Little Giant and Siip (Omerta), for their invaluable support in making this event our biggest and best yet.
A huge crowd favourite throughout the day was Little Giant, whose involvement brought an extra touch of hospitality to the event. Players and spectators were thoroughly impressed with their fantastic wine selection, with the custom portable travel cups quickly becoming the day’s must-have accessory pitch-side!
We would also like to extend our deepest gratitude to our event sponsors who helped bring the day to life:
- PQS Survey
- HMA Tax
- Securitas
- World Wide Technology
- ERA 4
Thank You to Our Rugby Family
Whether you were tackling on the pitch, cheering from the sidelines, sponsoring a team, or working tirelessly behind the scenes as a volunteer, thank you.
Vets Fest proves year after year what can be achieved when the rugby family unites for a common purpose. We can’t wait to see you all again next year!
