Wooden Spoon National Golf Day Tees Up Success at Bowood PGA Resort
Golfers gathered at the stunning Bowood PGA Resort for the annual Wooden Spoon National Golf Day, enjoying glorious sunshine and a fantastic day of competition, camaraderie and fundraising.
A total of 60 golfers took to the fairways, with participants enjoying the outstanding course and hospitality provided by the Bowood PGA team. Special thanks go to Mark and his colleagues for hosting the event, and to Cliff and Jo Barry for once again selecting Wooden Spoon as the beneficiary charity of their annual golf day.
Competition on the course was fierce, with Hampshire Fire & Rescue emerging as the overall team winners. One of the standout moments of the day came from Peter Davis, who achieved the golfer’s dream with an incredible hole-in-one, earning admiration from players across the course.
The event was further enhanced by the support of rugby legend Lee Mears, whose presence helped make the day even more memorable for everyone involved.
Thanks to the generosity of all those who took part, the day raised a fantastic sum for Wooden Spoon. The funds will be used to support projects that create life-changing opportunities for children and young people across the UK and Ireland, helping them to play, learn and thrive.
A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to making the day such a success.
