Pulborough RFC Crowned Champions at Sussex Wooden Spoon Golf Day

A fantastic day of golf saw Pulborough RFC take home the coveted Wooden Spoon, emerging as this year’s champion rugby club team. The competition was fiercely contested, with Pulborough narrowly edging out Slinfold Golf Club on countback.

Players delivered an impressive level of golf throughout the day, with many standout scores. Special thanks go to Mid-Sussex Golf Club for hosting the event and providing an excellent course, a delicious lunch, and warm hospitality.

Sussex Wooden Spoon extends sincere thanks to everyone who took part and supported the event. We’re delighted to announce that next year’s Golf Day has already been confirmed for Friday 5 June 2026, and we look forward to welcoming even more rugby clubs, supporters, and members from across the region.
