Annual Aberdeen Dinner raises incredible amount

On the 18th May 2023 Wooden Spoon Aberdeen held their annual dinner The Marcliffe Hotel, Aberdeen.

240 guests attended the fundraising dinner along with speaker Sean Fitzpatrick, and Special Guest Gavin Hastings.

Wooden Spoon Aberdeen Chairman Norman Fiddes kicked off proceedings, welcoming everyone back to this year’s event before handing over to representatives from two projects that have been funded by the region, namely Rob Clunas from Camphill School Milltimber Aberdeen, and Katie Mcnutt from SensationALL facility in Westhill. Katie gave a great report on Wooden Spoon’s involvement with SensationALL and the project’s development.

MC Alex Fleming was in excellent form, but he wasn’t the only MC in the spotlight on the evening. Norman gave a presentation to Peter Mitchell who had MC’d at 20 very successful Dinners. He received a unique Wooden Spoon momento, with inscription, which was made by students of Camphill School!

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who attended and helped the region to raise over £31,000 for vulnerable children and young people in Aberdeen.

Keep your eyes out for tickets to next year’s dinner on the 16th May at same venue!
