Rugby League World Cup

Taking place at Premiership Football Ground, St James’ Park, the England Men’s team start the tournament by taking on Samoa.  And if you think this game is going to be an easy win for the hosts, stop right there!

Despite only playing one international since 2019, Samoa are the bookmakers favourites to win.  But, we can remain hopeful as England are real contenders.  It should be an interesting few weeks for Scotland, Ireland and Wales too.

For the first time, the men’s, women’s and wheelchair tournaments will take place instantaneously. It will be a celebration of something rugby league does so well as a sport: championing inclusivity and diversity.  And something we wholeheartedly embrace at Wooden Spoon.

So brace yourselves, 61 matches across three nail biting tournaments in five exciting weeks. It’s set to be fun and we can’t wait.
