Scotland have a chance but France are my tip for 6 Nations glory
By Tim Visser …
The Six Nations marks an exciting time in any year. But after having no spectators last year, and with so many countries in with a shout, I think there is even more excitement this time around.
And it certainly starts with a bang with Scotland hosting England at Murrayfield. Our recent record against England is encouraging and Scotland should take confidence from that.
Home advantage could also be crucial although England are in good form and they will certainly be one of the contenders.
Getting off to a great start could be key for Scotland as it helps build momentum, both in training and matches.
On the flip side, losing the first game, at home to England, could see everyone doubting themselves ahead of the crucial second and third games which will really shape the destiny of the tournament.
Looking ahead before any match has been played, you can make a case for any one of five to win the Six Nations, which is great to see. It all adds to the competitiveness of the tournament.
Scotland are among that group but a good Six Nations for them could be a top three finish, though a great one would be finishing in the top two.
If pushed, my tip is France. I think they are the ones to really look out for with Antoine Dupont leading the team. France have historically been hit or miss, but they seem to be fit and firing at the moment.
Whoever wins it will face a number of extremely difficult challenges and I can’t wait for it all to start.
