Specialist Cots for Zoe’s Place

ZOE’S Place Hospice for babies and children has received a huge boost after building a new relationship with Wooden Spoon Durham which enabled the hospice to receive two specialist cots thanks to a donation of around £13,000.

Zoe’s Place in Middlesbrough welcomed England rugby legend Rory Underwood MBE, along with members of five Teesside rugby clubs, last week to recognise the contribution and officially open the project.

Zoe's Place Hospice

Zoe’s Place Trust is a registered charity providing palliative, respite and end of life care to babies and infants aged from birth to five years suffering from life-limiting or life-threatening conditions. All the infants that are currently attending the hospice have a number of special needs and the addition of cots such as these will help to greatly improve their quality of life whilst at the hospice.

A representative from Zoe’s Place added; “The impact this project on our children and their families is tremendous, by just being able to ensure the children in our care are able to sleep in a safe and comfortable bed, which will greatly improve their quality of life.”
