Moseley Oak RFC win inaugural Big Fat Rugby Quiz

Inaugural Worcestershire Big Fat Rugby Quiz.

THIRTY teams of five competitors battled it out in Wooden Spoon Worcestershire’s very first Big Fat Rugby Quiz.

Wooden Spoon local chairman John Gibson opened and closed the evening which raised a fantastic £4,000 and also welcomed 28 new (or slightly lapsed) members.

Teams were challenged to answer a range of questions from topics including British Lions, the Five and Six Nations, as well as one round dedicated to the history of Worcester Warriors with a surprise addition of Chris Pannell and 10 questions about his career. Chris also highlighted that he has been awarded a benefit year by the club for the 18/19 season!

It was a fun evening enhanced by WRFC s quiz master Steve Lloyd trying to keep control of what sometimes appeared to be a “ rolling maul”. The victors, Moseley Oak RFC, were presented with the brand new trophy whilst the losers “ won” an inflatable Wooden Spoon.
