About Us

Wooden Spoon Guernsey was founded in 2001, and through various fundraising events, dinners, golf days, and challenges, a fantastic amount of money has been raised and given to very worthy causes. We have committed over £300,000 to projects in our local area to help children with disabilities or facing disadvantage.

Our legend dinners have been our most popular events, with our previous guest speakers being the great late Jonah Lomu, Warren Gatland, Ronan O’Gara, Nigel Owen, Dan Biggar, Sir Gareth Edwards, Ollie Phillips and Mike Tindall.

Wooden Spoon Guernsey has funded a wide range of projects from a new teaching centre and disabled access lifts to sailing facilities.

Wooden Spoon Guernsey has provided a number of grants to Guernsey Sailing Trust. One of the projects supported was the Invictus sailability boat and hoist which help to make the harbour fully accessible.

Guernsey Sailing Trust enables local children from all walks of life to experience and enjoy the fun and challenges of sailing. The Trust is a RYA sailability foundation centre working hard to ensure the facilities are inclusive to all no matter their ability.

In 2020 Wooden Spoon Guernsey provided a £2,500 grant to Guernsey Beach Wheelchairs.
