We have thrown our formidable fundraising efforts behind a diverse range of deserving projects within our region.

Wooden Spoon Eastern Counties has supported over 30 projects since 2000. We have committed more than £580,000 to improving the lives of children with disabilities, or facing disadvantage. From hydrotherapy rooms to gyms, sensory rooms to kitchens and extensions to new buildings.

Volunteers helped build one project, under the supervision of Fusion Community Initiatives, who worked to update stables which had been built in the 1960s. Pakefield RDA was the first facility in the region to allow disabled riders to exercise through the movement of the horse.

The volunteers all came from occupations ranging from a bricky to a hairdresser to a company director. Eastern Counties committed £30,000 to the project, with the funds coming from a successful charity bike ride, Club Together.

Woodbridge School hosted a gala dinner and raised £4,500 for our region with over 100 in attendance.

See the events tab below for upcoming fundraising activities within the region.
