Over the years we have raised hundreds and thousands of pounds to help improve the lives of disadvantaged and disabled children within our community.

Major projects have included a £140,000 donation to help fund a therapy pool and sensory room at Portfield School in Christchurch, which provides specialist education, respite and residential care to young people with autism and associated difficulties, and a £94,600 grant towards inclusive playground charity Fernheath Play Association.

We are hoping to add a number of new fundraising events to our bustling calendar, including a Christmas dinner on Bournemouth Pier.

Wooden Spoon Dorset has funded a wide range of projects from soft play rooms to wheelchair lifts to outdoor areas.

Wooden Spoon Dorset donated £7,000 towards a play equipment store at the Fernheath Play Association in Bournemouth. The play store provides a secure and robust storage container facility which houses equipment which caters for children with an extensive range of needs.
