Wooden Spoon Yorkshire are providing a grant of £15,000 towards a play area at Brantwood Specialist School via Ruskin Mill Trust. The new play area will make much better use of the space; featuring single and team swings, wobble and balance boards, log and rope walks and a clatter bridge, along with a gravity spinning bowl seat.
The project will help to support young people with complex learning and emotional difficulties including autism spectrum disorders (ASDs), Asperger syndrome, Tourette syndrome and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
