The London marathon is iconic and one of the most popular marathons in the world. The event is oversubscribed every year. Wooden Spoon has a limited number of spaces available to you to fundraise for our projects to help children living with disability, in deprivation or those disengaged from mainstream society.
We ask you to cover the cost of your place so that 100% of your fundraising goes to those children and young people.
Entry is £150 with a minimum fundraising target of £2,500.
All runners receive:
- A Wooden Spoon training t-shirt and Bobble hat
- A Team Wooden Spoon personalised running vest
- Fundraising resources and support
- Team Wooden Spoon what’s app team group
- Opportunity for Grandstand viewing places
- Post marathon social event
We expect to receive more enquiries than we have places so we run an internal selection ballot.
The ballot is open on 14thMay 2025 and closes on 4th June 2025.
If you would like to be included in the ballot, please complete our our application form by no later than 4th June 2025.

If you have been lucky enough to get a space though the main London Marathon ballot we would love to join our other runners in Team Wooden Spoon.
