Wooden Spoon Dorset and Wiltshire would like to invite you to our Victory in Europe Celebration Golf Day at the Isle of Purbeck Golf Club on Friday 8th May 2020.
The Second World War affected the Isle of Purbeck in several ways. Parts of the area were taken over by the military for training exercises.
The traditional course is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The first thing that strikes visitors is the spectacular views, looking out over Brownsea Island, Bournemouth and the Solent. Indeed, the fifth tee possesses one of the finest views in British golf. The late King Edward declared the view from this point as one of the finest in his kingdom.
Date: Friday 8 May 2020
Venue: Isle of Purbeck Golf Club
Price: £300 per team of 4
Format: Tea/Coffee & Bacon Roll on arrival, 18 holes, meal to follow golf with charity auction.
