Black Sheep Big Spoon Bike Ride

Have fun, keep fit and raise money for disadvantaged children in Yorkshire. Join the Black Sheep Big Spoon Bike Ride on Sunday 12th September 2021, supporting Wooden Spoon Yorkshire.

Date: Sunday 12th September 2021
Venue: Black Sheep Brewery, Masham – start and finish
Cost: £45 entry fee

A special welcome to all newcomers – and a warm welcome back to the “old faithfuls”.

If you have joined the ride before, you will know that the emphasis is on having fun and a grand day out in the fresh air. The ride is renowned for its fab feed stations (Bettys fat rascals, Wensleydale cheese, homemade fruitcake soaked in brandy……) and, of course, a delicious (free!) pint of Black Sheep ale and a hot meal at the end of the ride.

Come and join in and you will be made very welcome whether you are on your own or riding with a group of friends – and whether you are a regular rider, or a bit rusty!

The two routes are designed so there is something for everyone.

The 87 mile route will keep regular cyclists happy! The route starts from Masham and heads out through Swaledale and back via Wensleydale. There are glorious views along the way… well as plenty of hills. This will be a challenging day out.

The 55 mile route is still a challenge, but it is designed with plenty of places for tea stops! The route also starts from Masham, and you will get the same glorious views…. but fewer hills! If you haven’t been on your bike for a while, and you need a worthwhile target to train towards, this is the route for you.

We can’t guarantee the weather, but we can guarantee you fresh air, a friendly welcome and a fine route. Come and join us – we look forward to seeing you.
