Wooden Spoon has set up a virtual national office and is operating on reduced staff numbers. The virtual office will continue to operate from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
We are delighted to announce an emergency support package to help local charities through the COVID-19 crisis.
We have pledged £200,000 to support small charities helping vulnerable children that are struggling to run essential services due a reduction in funding caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. It is important to us to adapt our funding approach in these challenging times to better respond to the challenges presented by COVID-19 which is having a devastating impact on a huge number of charities. Thank you to Rugbytots and The Telegraph who have worked tirelessly to raise these funds for us.
These two donors were due to be involved in selecting projects to fund over the coming year, but have generously agreed that Wooden Spoon can deploy their funds immediately to help small charities in need, through our regional network. Find out more here.
Wooden Spoon corporate partner, LMAX Exchange Group has made an incredible donation of £250,000 to The K&C Foundation‘s Covid-19 Appeal, helping to improve the life chances of disadvantaged young people in their local community. Read more here.
