A Swinging Success at Tehidy Park Golf Club

Friday 10 May was a day to remember at Tehidy Park Golf Club, where the Wooden Spoon Cornwall Regional Golf Day took place. Golf enthusiasts from across the region gathered for a friendly competition on the beautiful course, forming 18 teams that competed for the top spot in this annual event.

The day was filled with more than just golf. Participants enjoyed a delicious meal, followed by a lively raffle and auction. The generosity of everyone involved ensured that all funds raised will stay within the Cornwall area, directly benefiting locally approved projects. These funds will have a significant impact on the  lives of children and young people with disabilities or who face disadvantage and their families within the community.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who participated and contributed to the event’s success. Special appreciation is extended to Geraint and the organizing committee for their hard work, as well as to our generous sponsors and supporters:

Martin Nicholas – Moët Hennessy, St. Austell Brewery, Truro Co-Op, Bowood Park, Keith Breen, Matt Sharp, Jonathan Lamb – The Victoria Inn, Mark Pascoe – The Penventon Park Hotel, Redruth RFC and Justin Barnett.

We are thrilled to congratulate the overall winners, Lanner Infirmary, and the top-scoring rugby team, the Newquay Hornets, for their outstanding performance.
