Worcester Warriors legend Thinus Delport speaks at Christmas lunch

Wooden Spoon Worcestershire hosted a Christmas Curry lunch for 110 guests at Worcester Rugby Club.
The theme was rugby shirts and Christmas hats and the guests were treated to a 3 course Indian meal with accompanying entertainment which included local singer Mike Skilbeck and an interview with Worcester Warriors legend Thinus Delport who gave his views on next year’s rugby world cup in France.
The event raised over £4,000 which will be added to other funds raised by the Wooden Spoon committee headed by John Gibson with all funds to be spent on helping vulnerable children within the county.

“ We hope to make this an annual event for all our members and would especially like to thank our sponsors who once again were Hayward Wright Accountants. They have been great supporters of Wooden Spoon Worcestershire over many years. We will shortly be unveiling several projects that will help more vulnerable children within the county”

Next year will see Wooden Spoon Worcestershire celebrate 20 years as a committee and it is estimated to have raised @ £400,000 over this period- all of which has been spent with the county.
